We agree! Eagle Grip attachments are the most durable and efficient drum handling attachments ever produced. These units easily slide onto the blade of the fork truck. If the operator needs to move a pallet simply set the attachment down, back out and begin moving pallets. All models can handle steel, poly and/or fiber drums with ease.The clamping mechanisms is designed to lift the drums by the chime or lip of the drum allowing them to lift both closed and open top drums. The belt cradles at the bottom of the unit help keep the load in place should an overzealous driver navigate a turn a little too quickly.Since the unit a lifts the drum from the 6 o clock position, they are ideal for loading and unloading trucks where drums are stacked together. The common hook style attachments use small arms to wrap around the drums which will scrape truck walls and abutted drums. The other issue we hear with those models & other barrel lifters is its hard to keep a visual eye on those hooks when looking through the mast of the fork truck only to find out the driver lined them up poorly and punctured a drum.
