Self-Powered Double Maxi-Grip

Cuts handling time in half by moving, stacking and palletizing two drums at once. Features built-in, 12-volt, battery-operated Power-Pak and self-contained hydraulics. Fork-mounted unit moves, stacks and palletizes steel and fiber drums. Handles different sized drums at same time.

The usable fork tube size for the Self-Powered Dounble Maxi-Grip is 2½” x 6½” x 42”

Open-Head Drum Master by Kughler

Secure the OPEN-HEAD DRUMASTER to the lift truck. With the mast slightly forward-tilted, contact the drum(s) with the hook above the top. Lower the hook several inches inside the drum(s). Drive up snug; the bottom cradle activates the top gripper. Raise. Holding is maintained by the gravity force of the drum(s) being handled. Bouncing, jarring or other rough handling may dislodge drum(s). To disengage, lower the drum(s) to a solid surface, withdraw slightly to release gripper, and raise the OH to clear the drum(s).

Drum Lift: Rim-O-Matic Drumaster by Kughler

Secure the RIM-O-MATIC DRUMASTER to the lift truck. With the mast slightly forward-tilted, contact the drum(s) with the gripping head below the top. Raise (not by back-tilting) and the grippers will lock onto the rim of the drum(s). Holding is maintained by the gravity force of the drum(s) being handled. Bouncing, jarring or other rough handling may dislodge drum(s). To disengage grippers, lower the drum(s) to a solid surface, and continue to lower the ROM about four inches before withdrawing.

The Drum Gripper makes it easy to pick up one or two steel drums without leaving the seat of the fork truck. Simply slip the forks into the fork tubes and the Drum Gripper is ready to go. Top lip plastic drum lifter for use with 30 and 55 gallon plastic closed head drums. 6-1/2″ wide x 2-1/2″ high usable fork tubes on 19-1/2″ centers. High drum attachment point for use with top lip at least 3/16″ high.

Model FPDL-8-L
Adjustable arms are designed to fit 55 gallon round bottom plastic drums. Low drum attachment point allows for use of both open and closed head drums.

All Eagle-Grip™ attachments can be equipped with custom load cells and indicators to providing a self contained means of weighing single drums using a lift truck or stacker. There are no external connections to the lift truck besides the OSHA safety chain.The Eagle-Grip™ 1 & 2 Series attachments are recommended for most industrial weighing and drum handling safety applications.

The Eagle-Grip™ 3 & 4 Series attachments are necessary for high volume handling and when intrinsically safe weighing is required for hazardous areas.

Attachments with intrinsically safe weighing systems are provided with non-sparking jaws and heavy belts to support the lower third of the drum.Eagle-Grip™ attachments are also available for weighing up to two drums at a time. Handle European or Mauser Drums with Eagle Poly Grip

European style poly drums have increased quite a bit over the years , especially among exporters of fruit juices and other foods. Since the drums have deep inset lids and no lifting chime, they are typically man handled from overseas containers. Obviously man handling a drum is a no no but the way these containers are designed, your options for handling them is limited. 99% of the drum lifters on the market were not created for this style drum simply because of the bottom and top taper. Easy lift Equipment has developed some products which will allow you to lift and maneuver these drums without having to get off the truck.

The process is just as cut and dry as you see it here. Drive in, lift up and move the drum. Of course this unit is set up to handle 2 drums at a time but they also make models to lift one drums as well as smaller 35 gallon drums if needed.

The top of the line Eagle 4 Series of lift truck attachments incorporates heavy-duty Eagle-Grip double articulating clamping mechanisms for handling any steel, plastic or fibre chimed drums in high volume applications. These units provide the safest available method of lifting and transporting any chimed drum.

The clamping mechanisms are completely mechanical requiring no hydraulic or electrical connections. Each drum is gripped with two upper and lower jaws in heads which are spaced about 6 inches apart. The swivel action of the Eagle 4 Series is operator friendly permitting pickup of misaligned or slightly separated drums. Holding is maintained by the gravity force of the drum(s) on the gripping arms. Bouncing, jarring or other rough handling may dislodge drum(s). To disengage arms, lower the drum(s) to a solid surface, and continue to lower the VOM (vert o matic drum lift) about six inches before withdrawing straight back.
