The model ETG1 is an under hook attachment used for lifting and transporting all types of steel, plastic and fiber drums. The positive drum mechanism of the ETG1 is completely mechanical and requires no electrical connections to the hoist or crane. An adjustable sliding counterweight can be preset to keep drums vertical. A protective belt on the base eliminates cosmetic abrasions to the side of the drum. Special units are available to lift 2 drums at a time.

European style poly drums have increased quite a bit over the years , especially among exporters of fruit juices and other foods. Since the drums have deep inset lids and no lifting chime, they are typically man handled from overseas containers. Obviously man handling a drum is a no no but the way these containers are designed, your options for handling them is limited. 99% of the drum lifters on the market were not created for this style drum simply because of the bottom and top taper. The top of the line Eagle 4 Series of lift truck attachments incorporates heavy-duty Eagle-Grip double articulating clamping mechanisms for handling any steel, plastic or fibre chimed drums in high volume applications.
