This drum manipulator does not require a floor receptacle or any installation procedures, making it easy to transport drums and operate at any location within a work area.

This versatile design and its larger footprint are well suited for situations where the manipulator is needed at multiple locations within a facility, such as drum-to-drum transfer stations in a repackaging room.

The integrated ventilation system can be used to maintain dust and vapor control during the material transfer.

A rotating drum handler is a manually-propelled, straddle-type unit that centers the load between the wheels for maximum balance and safety. Lifts and rotates 360o. Available as manual, battery, air or AC-powered handler. Battery-powered model requires 12-volt deep cycle battery and plugs into a standard grounded outlet (battery included). Air-powered models require an outside air source and is ideal for spark-resistant applications and requires outside air source. Optional floor lock available. 78” or 90”-high units handle steel, plastic & fiber cylinders 14” – 24”.

The post-mounted design of this drum manipulator utilizes a “docking” mechanism as its primary source of support, resulting in a very small footprint that’s appropriate for many applications.

• A support rod (located on the vertical stationary frame of the manipulator) drops into a flush-mounted floor receptacle (installed in the floor near the vessel opening) so a single manipulator can serve multiple vessels and operate in tight working areas.
• The docking feature eliminates the need for a large counter-weighted frame or complex set-up operation. The manipulator is simply rolled into position and docked in place (see video).
• Cost savings can be achieved as this design allows one drum manipulator to serve multiple vessels, by installing a floor receptacle at each application.
• Can be combined with the ventilation sleeve to create a drum charging system that controls dust and vapor while also addressing the ergonomic risks of this intricate process.

rotogrip drum dumper

The Hydraulic Drum Dumper is what you need to dump drums that weigh up to 1,500 lbs. Works with 55 and 30-gallon plastic, steel and fiber drums. The unit has a solid steel chute. Portable units have two rigid and two swivel casters with floor lock screws. All steel construction. Standard features include: 56 frame, 3?4 HP motor, 120V single phase, 60Hz with an 8 foot long power cord and plug. Upper travel limit switch, emergency brass safety velocity fuse in cylinder and vertical adjustment drum restraints are standard. Chute is rotated with a hand held control on an 8 ft. long coil cord standard.

SSC option is constructed with type 304 Stainless Steel in Mill Finish. Includes stainless steel chute, base plate, vertical height bars and welded brackets. Chute is painted with standard enamel paint on back of chute and frame. Adjustable height clamps coated in Steel-It™ coating. This option must be ordered with a Hydraulic Drum Dumper.
